History of Performer / Band Vincenzo Thomas Amato, born in 1975, grew up in the Reno & Lake Tahoe area. Vincenzo attended the following skools growing up: Little Flower, Snows, Bishop Manouge & graduated Reno High Skool in 1994. After attending the University of Nevada in Reno, Vincenzo moved to Los Angeles, CA in 1996, went to Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, and founded the funk/rock/jam band... SUPER J which played in many local clubs & festivals on the West Coast for 9 years. Now, as his own solo project, he’s known as… “Vincenzo Thomas Amato” OR simply, VTA.

Vincenzo has opened & performed with some of the most prominent bands in the music industry: FISHBONE, Billy Idol, Hoobustank, Slightly Stoopid, Peter Cornell, The Starfuckers, Lavish Green, Hemlock, Jerel, Bargain Music, Warsaw, Keyser Soze, Gooding, Chad Gendason, & DUBCAT… just to name a few.

More recently, at this year’s X-GAMES, on Aug. 5th 2005, at the Staples Center in LA, Vincenzo performed with... Pennywise, Michael Franti and Spearhead, Dead Kennedys, SX-10 with Slash, Tego Calderon, Death By Stereo, Bif Naked, The Wylde Bunch, DJ Z-Trip, Bang Sugar Bang, The Uprising, The Beach Side Stranglers, The Mad Caddies, Atzlan Underground, Nebula, 2MEX & Friends, Patados, Dumbluck, & Death By Stereo.

Vincenzo’s national TV debut came in 2000 on the Jenny Jones Show performing the single, “Mr. Magoo” with Super J. Since then, his solo music has been heard on the following TV shows: The X-Games, Fox’s 54321, The Entire Vans Triple Crown Series, Fuel TV and more.

In 2000, Vincenzo started Bandwagon Productions, an independent, “full-service” music company which specializes in background music placement for television productions. Their domination of music placement for extreme sport shows can be heard on the following shows: The X-Games, FOX's 54321, The Vans Triple Crown Series, The US Open Of Snowboarding, The Professional Surfing Tour Of America, Blue Torch TV, FUEL TV, Re:Evolution TV, Adrenalina TV, M-80 TV, MTV's Road Rules, MTV's Real World, The Freeride Moto-X, The Sims World Cup Of Snowboarding, The THQ Supercross GP Series, The AMA Supercross Series, The X-Surf Series, The ESPN Moto-X Championships... just to name a few.

Vincenzo has remained cutting edge in his own music & style, and is currently un-signed and self managed… but his ears & mind are always open to opportunities!

You can currently see Vincenzo in the January, 2006 issure of HUSTLER magazine, where he is featured, performing at the X-GAMES 11 on August 5th 2005.
