Musical Influences
History of Performer / Band Rick Costa is best known for his ten-year engagement with the doubting Thomas band. He now brings his dynamic presence to gogh, creating an atmosphere of high energy and musical celebration. As the conceptual co-founder of the band, Rick offers his talent as vocalist, songwriter and guitar player to this project.

Doug Quilici has been performing locally for the past 25 years. He brings to gogh his unique style of percussion, contributing to the artistic flavor of the band. Doug is a Reno native, local club owner, songwriter and creative director of the group.

Adam Van Brocklin grew up in Reno and is actively involved in the local music scene. In addition to instructing music, he feels at home in Broadway musicals, blues, rock and jazz ensembles. Adam has most recently contributed his talent to the band "1272". Bandgogh is glad to have him back as his conga interpretations and percussive accents are an intricate part of the band.

Fernando Flores is originally from Winnemucca and has played in local bands for the past nine years. He initially played saxophone for the UNR jazz ensemble while pursuing his music degree. He later switched to bass and now provides the rhythmic bottom end to the band.

Marcie Short has been performing for many years in a variety of bands including country, classical, rock n’ roll and cow punk. Her violin adds a unique dimension from beautifully orchestrated leads to electric scream. She especially enjoys performing with the band gogh for its personality, character and musical diversity.

We don't know anything about the Keyboard Man. Perhaps someday he'll break his silence.
