Musical Influences
History of Performer / Band In 1998 Tim was given a guitar as a high school graduation gift. He began teaching himself pop songs and played for recreation. In the year 2000, he started becoming very interested in the music of singer songwriters like Duncan Sheik and John Mayer. Tim founded duncansheik.org and began focusing on learning to play the more difficult music of artists like the aforementioned in 2001. One year later, Tim wrote his first solo song. Through college, music was still a back burner hobby.

In May of 2003 Tim finished with school and left his home state (Wisconsin) headed for northern California. He worked a day job for a few months and then decided to investigate a career somewhere in the music industry. Tim met Singer/songwriter Joel Ackerson who was touring in San Francisco in the fall of 2003. Tim began helping out with Joel's career and did some abbreviated tour management work on the east and west coasts before hitting the road with Joel as his full time manager in February of 2004. Tim has been helping to spread Joel's music to the public while slowly building his own skill and reputation as a musician in his own right.

Press Reviews / Credits "Timothy Daniel weaves a unique pop sound with lyrics that state the familiar, in an unfamiliar fashion. His voice melts even the coldest of crowds like so much neapolitan. In this age of an upcoming onslaught of mediocre singer/songwriters trying to mimic the success of artists like John Mayer and Jason Mraz, Tim is blazing his own yellow brick road to stardom.

His forthcoming CD entitled 'The NonPop EP' is a tongue-in-cheek denial of the obvious reality. The opening track (Better Than Truth) sets the bar high for this 24 year old computer technician turned musician. It's unbelievably catchy chorus, telling lyrics, and impressive vocal display earns it unprecedented replayability. Songs like 'Give the People What They Want' and 'Birds on Power Lines' don't sound enough like anything we've ever heard to make a fair comparison. In conclusion, keep a close eye on the pleasantly unorthodox and refreshing musical stylings of Timothy Daniel." — NorCalTV.com
