Sandy Hutchinson graduated from UNR with a degree in Vocal Performance. She performed with the Nevada Opera for ten years in the chorus and singing such roles as Edith in the Pirates of Penzance, The First Lady (witch) in the Magic Flute and Countess Ceprano in Rigoletto. She also sang several major roles with the UNR Opera Theatre including, Lucy Brown in the Three Penny Opera.

Sandy now performs her own material and teaches music composition and group voice.
