History of Performer / Band |
Robert started his music career in his home town of San Francisco as part of The Sounds Unlimited Blues Band, during the late 1960's. Along with his brother Tom, Jim Dotson, Fred Pratt, and Jorge Santana, they performed at numerous local clubs and other venues.
Jorge Santana left the band in 1970 to form the Latin Rock band, Malo, which recorded four albums on the Warner Brothers record label. While recording their final album, Ascencion, Jorge approached Robert and asked him to contribute additional lyrics to a song that they used to perform in The Sounds Unlimited Blues Band. The song was entitled, Everlasting Night, and was re-issued on CD as The Best of Malo on Crescendo Records.
Robert continued to perform in clubs with many different band combinations throughout the 1970's. On tour with the band, Fusion, Robert performed in clubs from Nevada to Wyoming.
Retiring from live performance, Robert spent the next decade raising a family with his wife, Lauri, while continuing to write songs.
During the 1990's, Robert recorded demos and performed with the band, Sound Express, along with Jim Dotson, and brothers, Tom and Nick.
Currently, Robert lives in the city of Reno, Nevada, USA, and continues to write, record, and occasionally perform his music live at open mic sessions in small clubs.
