Furious fretwork; and open tunings make Max Volume a show to see. The UNR Sagebrush called Max Volume "A cross between Nirvana and the Led Zeppelin- Pure Beach Bonfire Music". A regular opener in Northern Nevada, for the likes of Steve Morse, Ned Evett, Dave Mason, Widgeon Holland, Mickey Thomas, Mumbo Gumbo, The Chuck Ruff Group, Edgar Winter, Reo Speedwagon and more; Max's stand up acoustic show is far from the "lala" acoustic bretheren usually equated with the genre. His first two solo cd's "Written in Stone", and "MV" have sold entire production runs, necessitating re-orders. In the works for 2006 the third cd "MV3", with a planned release date of February. Max has recently played Club Underground, Sidelines. Knuckleheads, Liquid Lounge, and more.T
