History of Performer / Band |
Joel Ackerson has been bringing down
the house wherever he sings since he was twelve years
old. Now 25, he's had more pro experience in the music
industry than many of his peers will accumulate in the
next decade.
Joel Ackerson is a singer-songwriter on the cusp between
regional and national recognition, drawing consistent
comparisons to artists like Glen Philips and Martin
Sexton. Why? The warmth of his music, the depth of his
words, and the soul in his voice.
Having played for years as a solo act, in the acoustic
duo Ni', and in central NY's regionally acclaimed Eclipse,
Joel has expanded his influence out from Syracuse, NY
as far as Boston and Los Angeles.
Joel Ackerson is that rare thing in modern music...
...the songwriter that delivers a message worth hearing
through the voice that delivers it.
Listen.
