History of Performer / Band

Well here we are. We finally made it, and it couldn't feel much better. And we have created something "commercial with a capital C." It's scary to think of how far we can go if we keep our nose to the grind. I could sit here for hours and write about this band, but when it comes down to it, there is only one true way to describe it: FUN. At the time I am writing this, the new recordings may not be posted yet for a day or so. But that's okay, as you will understand as soon as they go up. I love the songs. All of us do. And maybe what has changed in our perspective is that we love life. That comes through in our songs. There is no angst, no depression. The deepest it gets is dealing with having a bad day or feeling down. But when its all said and done, we are four kids playing music everyday and having the time of our lives with every second of it. Our new track "Take Me Alive" is a good example of that. So is "Escape." Positive energy, a fun vibe, it's all a blast. This band has too much fun together. We are all like brothers, West, Clay, Jeff, and I. These guys make me feel like a little kid, and I can't help but act like one, whether it be at rehearsal, just hanging out, or on stage. I am so high on life because of this band that it is like I am floating above everyone else and the stress they put up with everyday in this hypocritical, corporate-driven society. Instead, we have the gift of music to give everyday, and it's a blessing. I hear all the time about guys who complain about being on the road, or not having a private life. Fuck all that. What could be better than doing what you are passionate about every night in front of tons of screaming people who believe in what you do? These guys are my second family. West is amazing on the axe. That's all there is to it. And his talents allow me to just sing, and focus on giving us someone the audience can relate to as a frontman. He does it all. He is a great player, he writes great music, he is a great performer, and he is ripped. The ladies love him, and it makes me jealous. Bastard. I have been playing with Clay for three years now. He and I have been through more shit than you. Trust me. And it just goes to show you how amazing our relationship is. Not just musically, but as friends. And not to mention his skills on bass. The guy holds down a groove like it's nothing. And recently I was able to turn him onto the idea of fashion. Check the new pics. It's true. ;) And Mr. Jeff. Jefe. haha We needed a drummer with an attitude. Someone with energy. Someone who could beat the living hell out of a drum set yet still hold down the rhythm section. Thank God I called Jeff in to replace our dead weight. The guy is like Tommy Lee on steroids. Scary huh? And on top of it he has a personality that you can't help but like, and a dedication to this band that is refreshing. As for me?? Well, I'm the frontman. I carry the biggest load, and if I suck, people will think the band sucks. I figured the best way for me to combat this was to work at my singing constantly, spike my hair, get tan, and get some washboard abs. You might listen to my voice and say I listen to a little too much Hoobastank, or that I look up to Brandon Boyd too much. Maybe I sound like a girl. Fuck. But you know what? I can sing a lot higher than you! We are based on energy. And if you like the recordings, you have to see us live. That's the way it is. It will be the most physical show you will ever see. From the jumping, to the running, to the kicking, to the guitar antics, to the thrashing of cymbals, it doesn't stop. Like I said before, we are here to have fun. And fun is what we do. When we hit the stage we are four young guys who are up there to have the time of our lives. And we hope everyone is ready to do that with us. I'm sure we will catch some shit from other bands who consider us to be sellouts. That's fine with us. We don't go out of our way to be different. We are what we are. We simply write the best songs we possibly can, and we have a great time doing it. Now wouldn't it be selling out to try and be something else? I'll tell you what, we could spend our time trying to be different, but we would never get anything done. We just let it happen. Sometimes it's heavy rock, sometimes it's a ballad, and sometimes it's even got a punk feel to it. Fuck it, that's what we do. I've gone on for too long now. So listen to us. If you like it, tell your friends. If not, who cares. And if you do enjoy what we are doing, I can't wait to see you out there somewhere. And if there is one message in our band and our music, that everyone can learn from, it is this: In this life, there are those who sit at home and wish their dreams would come true, and then there are those who get off their asses and MAKE their dreams come true. We would fall under the latter category. ~Tim
